Car Fire at Dartmouth Century 21 Quickly Extinguished

DARTMOUTH - Firefighters were quickly able to extinguish a car fire in the parking lot of the Century 21 Real Estate office at 77 State Road in Dartmouth.

The report of a fire in the engine compartment of the 1999 Lexus SUV came in at 10:50 A.M. Friday.

Firefighters arrived on scene and put out the fire within minutes. The interior of the car was not damaged.

District 3 Deputy Chief Theodore Borges tells WBSM News the fire was the result of a mechanical failure.

Nobody was injured and no nearby vehicles sustained any noticeable damage.
