Cape Senator Suggests Shut Down Pilgrim Nuke

Cape Cod Senator Dan Wolf is calling for the shutdown of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant in Plymouth.

The Harwich Democrat says the 685-megawatt plant should be decommissioned because the risk of "catastrophic consequences" is very real. He made the remarks at the State House during a panel discussion Wednesday.

The 40-year-old plant was recently relicensed for another two decades by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
