Cape Cod Woman Drives Into Store

Police in Barnstable say an 88 year old woman crashed her car through the plate glass window of a store in Hyannis. Fortunately, the store was vacant at the time.

Police told the Cape Cod Times, Dorothy O'Connell first hit the back of a car, that was going through an intersection near the store, then hit the gas, and her car jumped the curb and smashed into the storefront.

O'Connell was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for non-life threatening cuts and bruises.
