Campus Police Investigating Report of Sexual Assault at UMass Dartmouth

UMass Dartmouth Campus Police say a woman has reported being a victim of a sexual assault on the campus.

University Police issued a warning this week, saying the woman claimed she was sleeping in a friend's room in the on-campus housing at Cedar Dell West when she was sexually assaulted by an unknown male at about 5 A.M. Saturday.

The campus' Department of Public Safety is investigating the claim. They ask anyone with information about the alleged sexual assault to contact them through the Silent Witness/Police Tip Line at www.umassd.edu/publicsafety/silentwitnesstipline/ or call 508-999-8477.
