Calf Bolts from New 9 year Old Owner
9-year old Ryan Hoelzel was so looking forward to showing off his new calf at summer 4-H fairs, but within a few minutes of the calf being dropped off at his Epping, NH family farm, the calf moooved fast and escaped!
Little Ryan has been saving his dollars through many birthdays and holidays to reach $350, the price of the spirited animal, and to Ryan, that was a lot of mooola! I know manure happens! But, Ryan’s mother said if they ever catch the spunky calf, they’ll exchange it for another less fiery one.
My best wishes are with our future little farmer knowing that tomorrow is an udder day!
