Cabral Includes Gateway City Funds in Proposed Budget Amendment

An amendment to the House of Representatives proposed state budget would include $1 million of funding for gateway cities like New Bedford.

Representative Antonio Cabral made the amendment, adding the funding for the Transformative Development Initiative, which provides investment capital to encourage residential and commercial redevelopment of regional urban centers.

If adopted, the proposal would ensure funding for the program beginning  July 1.
