Brothers Charged in Wareham Stabbing

Two brothers are being charged in the stabbing of an Onset man outside a VFW hall over the weekend. According to police, officers found a man swinging a knife in the middle of a crowd that gathered in the parking lot of the Onset VFW late Sunday night, and found a 22-year-old Onset man nearby, stabbed in the chest. The knife-wielding suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Sean Somers of New Bedford, and is being charged with assault with intent to murder. His brother, Alex Somers, faces charges of disorderly conduct. The Onset victim is expected to make a full recovery following surgery at Rhode Island Hospital.
