Brotherly Love

When three year old Michael found out he was going to be a big brother, he was beyond thrilled. The little boy would sing to his mommy's tummy every day and night, hoping his baby sister could hear him and know she was loved.

Mommy's pregnancy progressed normally, but severe complications surrounded the delivery. The baby girl was immediately brought to the NICU after birth, and her parents were told to prepare for the worst. While the devastated parents made arrangements, little Michael begged to see his little sister. Mom thought it best to let Michael see his sister before it was too late, so she brought him to the NICU.

Without hesitation, three year old Michael began to sing the "You Are My Sunshine" lullaby. The baby girl's heart rate steadied and her vitals strengthened instantaneously. Their bond developed so strong since the womb, that hearing Michael's voice literally lifted her spirits. She was well enough to go home the very next day! If there was ever a story to restore hope, it's the little boy who saved his baby sister's life with a song.
