According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, the New England Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady have both expressed interest in a contract extension that would keep the Brady with the team well into his mid-40's.

In a tweet, Howe suggested that the talks are in the very early stages and that there is "nothing imminent."

Brady, who is under contract through 2019, has expressed his desire to continue playing through at least his mid-40's and, based on last season, has given everyone more than enough reason to believe he can do just that.

While a deal seems to be a ways away, it also seems to be a certainty to happen at some point in the next year or so.
