Bay Sox And Gatemen Lose

The New Bedford Bay Sox and the Wareham Gatemen both lost Monday night. For the first time this season the Bay Sox scored before their opponent but ended up with another game in the loss column. The Sanford Maine Mainers scored 3 runs and took the lead in the bottom of the 4th inning off Bay Sox starter Sam Dodge. the Bay Sox had the tying run on second base with one out in the top of the ninth inning but stranded him there. The Bay Sox are on the road tonight to Kingtown, R I to play the Ocean Waves.  In the Cape Cod League, the Wareham Gatemen dropped a 4-3 decision to the Hyannis Harbor Hwks.
