We know what a fastball is but Major League Baseball is now ordering players to move the game faster or else be fined! But, players are fairly set in their way.

Imagine Big Papi taking a pitch, then stepping out of the batter's box. He slaps his hands, taps his cleats and repositions his helmet before he steps back into the batter's box. That just ate up 30 seconds. Multiply that times a lot of batters and it's no wonder the average baseball game takes over 3 hours!

Starting this year, MLB will enforce a $500 fine for any player who delays the game. The ruling will also require a batter to keep one foot in the box unless he swings at a pitch, the game is otherwise delayed, or time is called.

Umps will have the discretion to warn the batter before recommending a fine. What's your reaction to this new baseball rule? Do you agree with it or not?
