FALL RIVER - Once one of President-Elect Donald Trump's loudest critics, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker now plans to attend Trump's inauguration ceremony in January.

While visiting Fall River Thursday, Baker said he has been invited to the ceremony and will attend with his colleagues.

"It happens once every four years and as governor of the Commonwealth, with an invitation like that, I plan to honor it," Baker said.

Baker added that he has been in contact with the Trump Administration, including a phone call initiated by Trump.

"I talked to the President-Elect before Thanksgiving, briefly for about four or five minutes, and basically said that we look forward to working with his administration," Baker said.

The governor called the conversation "pleasant and positive."

Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States on January 20th.
