Sheriff's Dept. Spokesman Bernard Sullivan tells WBSM News, investigators have charged  31 year old Edward Teves of Fall River, and his girlfriend, 22 year old Tonya Desrosiers, who is an inmate at the House of Correction.

Officers say Teves was arrested on Thursday after dropping off a package of heroin at what police say was a predetermined location on the House of Correction campus.

Investigators claim Desrosiers, who was part of a work detail,  was supposed to pick up the drugs and bring them inside the jail.

Teves faces a host of drug charges, including deliverng drugs to a prisoner.  Desrosiers will be summonsed into court on charges of conspiracy and attempting to commit a crime.
