Thanks to Miller Lite for sponsoring our Sun of a Beach Music Festival and giving us super fun stuff to give away to everyone! As promised, these #MillerTime photos from Sun of a Beach earned these folks a chance to win our cool, remote controlled Miller Lite Cooler.
Sun of a Beach is just around the corner and with tons of tickets already sold, we're sure a lot of you have questions about what to bring with you and what to leave home. Here's our list of things you need to know before you go.
If you're from the Greater New Bedford Area you've probably been to a few of Joe Jesus' popular 50's Night held each July in Downtown, New Bedford. This is the 24th year that good ol' Joe is holding the event and like every year before it, it promises to be the biggest one yet. "It just keeps growing every single year!" This year's event will be Thursday, July 16th with festivities started at 5pm.
One of the toughest things about going somewhere is figuring out where to park. Do you have to leave an hour early to find parking, are you going to get a ticket -or worse- towed? Am I going to have to park a mile away and walk?! We know what it's like so we've done our best to make it easy for everyone. Here are the details on parking for the Sun of a Beach Festival next weekend.
Ladies and Gentlemen; boys and girls- the circus is in town! The Zerbini Family Circus is getting ready for their big top performance at Buttonwood Park as part of the annual New Bedford Police Union Festival. After hundreds of volunteer hours by the NBPD Union, all of the plans have finally come together for a weekend carnival, craft fair and one of the oldest American traditions- the circus!
In true Dave Matthews Band form, Big Eyed Phish won't tell us a single song they are going to play at Sun of a Beach. While every DMB jam is a good one, we hope that these three songs are definitely included.
If you live in the area, you know that each summer some newsworthy sea creature is spotted along our shores and becomes the main event for the next day or two. However, in 2007, an unidentified sea creature had a Fall River couple thinking they were going to die in the waters of a Rhode Island beach.
Each Wednesday I try to sneak out of work a smidge early so I can catch up with my family and friends at Apponogansett Park for Dartmouth's Summer Concert Series. What occurred to me this past Wednesday was that not only did i have zero idea about what music i was going to be hearing, but I had zero idea of who the band even was and yet, here I am, rushing around to get there on time! What is it about music outdoors that gets people so excited?
