Attempted Bank Robbery in New Bedford

New Bedford Police

New Bedford Police are looking for a light skinned Hispanic male who attempted to rob the Bank of America branch at 1918 Acushnet Ave.

The suspect walked into the bank shortly after 3 pm Monday afternoon and handed the teller a note demanding money. When the teller became nervous and backed away from the teller station, the suspect fled the bank on foot without getting any money.

He was last seen wearing a white t shirt and a grey hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information should call Detective Shain Ramos at 508-991-6300 ext 132.
