MARTHA'S VINEYARD — An attack on a fellow crew member has left one man dead aboard a fishing trawler near Nantucket.

The U.S. Coast Guard was called on Sunday afternoon by the captain of the Captain Billy Haver reporting that crew members had allegedly been attacked.

According to the Martha's Vineyard Times, one of the crew members is dead and another was injured in the attack by one of the fishermen on board.

A German cruise ship was also asked to pull along side the trawler, where the ship's doctor pronounced the mariner dead.

The story says the Coast Guard cutter that responded to the call and the trawler have made their way to Boston. There, they will be met by Coast Guard investigators.

The Captain Billy Haver is an 82-foot fishing vessel based in Seaford, Virginia.
