People of different faiths were invited to take part in a nationally televised service of healing at Boston's Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Thursday.

But members of the nontheist community are saddened and dissapointed not to have been asked to join the healing with other leaders of faith. Both atheists and people of faith, alike, were physically and emotionally hurt by the bombings. So, was it an unintentional oversight not to invite the secular community to the alter?

And since this horrific event touched many people, believers and non-believers, should atheists be included in future prayer services?
