New Bedford Police seized over 750 grams of cocaine during the execution of two search warrants Thursday night.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says the two warrants were executed around 5:00 p.m. by members of the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau.

Officers searched 269 Belleville Avenue Apartment 1 North as well as 169 Gayhead Court, which is located in the Shawmut Village Housing Development.

In addition to the cocaine officers also found $140 in cash and drug packaging material at the Belleville Avenue apartment.

Following the search Braulio Moya was arrested on charges of Trafficking cocaine in excess of 200 grams and Trafficking cocaine in excess of 200 grams within 100 feet of a playground.

Authorities believe Moya was running a drug operation in the city's North End from the belleville avenue apartment which is across from Riverside Park.

Moya was arraigned Friday morning in New Bedford District Court.
