This is the time of year when all of the plans are made and many high school reunions take place.  Everyone is home visiting for the holiday's and it gives you a chance to see some old friends you may have lost touch with.  This past weekend I had the chance to attend my reunion and get together with some people I haven't seen since graduation day.  It's been quite a few years and I always made an excuse as to why I couldn't go to any in the past, I would think I'm too busy or I don't have anything in common with these people now.  That last part is not true, one of the most influential parts of your life were spent with these people, you all went through tragedy's and uplifting experiences together, you loved or hated the same teachers, you played sports together you grew up together!  Your classmates have gone through a lot of the same things you have after you graduated.  When you go to the reunion you get a chance to learn, not only about your old friends but about yourself.  It's great to hear what people are doing, how big their family's are what their kids are doing but when you share what you have been doing you get a sense of pride in all that you have accomplished in the years since graduation.  If you have a reunion coming up and you are unsure about going, I say 'do it', you have nothing to lose, and you may find yourself having a pretty good time.   Just go with an open mind and be prepared to share a few good laughs and maybe make a few new friends.
