A couple of years ago, I welcomed Shelley Cardoos and Jeremiah Hernandez on the show to help them launch EforAll in New Bedford. I remember them saying that their basic philosophy was to revitalize mid-sized cities that have faced economic challenges by investing in the dreams and ambitions of the local entrepreneurs. I loved the concept because for all my years I've always believed that you don't build a business, rather - you build people and then people build the business! Who knows their city better than the local entrepreneur, and given the opportunity, he or she can help their city prosper by creating their own pathway.

Now, celebrating two years on September 24, their success has been inspiring! Forty-seven ventures have gone through the Accelerator Program and around 100 start ups have been involved in Pitch Contests. In the past two years, EforAll South Coast has given over $100,000 in cash prizes!

EforAll is proof positive that we really do rise by lifting others! Contact Shelley Cardoos at shelley@eforall.org or call 508-858-8522.
