The annual Fall Acushnet Town Meeting got a delayed start due to the lack of a quorum but once it got going it took about 37 minutes to go through the 22 article warrant. Town Meeting members were in an approving mood as they gave the OK for a raise to Fire Chief Kevin Gallagher as well as approving money for police, fire and dpw equipment and repairs to the Long Plain Museum. They even approved the transfer of $58 thousand dollars in available money to the stabilization fund.
