All across America, the first Tuesday in August celebrates National Night Out, a fun partnership between the community and their local police. In New Bedford, the event at Ashley Park from 5 to 8 pm, promises to be filled with all kinds of activities that kids will enjoy, from clowns to games and food, and so much more! Law enforcement from around the area will interact with the community in the hopes of establishing a continued friendly and respectful bond between citizens and police. The past year has been a challenge to those bonds, nationwide.

Jerry Pinto, chairman of Neighborhood United, once again has organized this free fun block party for the family. Make it a point to be on hand, for the kids' sake!
