2014 Steak and Burger Dinner Held Tonight in Acushnet

The kids will be in the spotlight tonight, chowing down on steaks while the grown-ups feast on burgers. The annual Steak and Burger Dinner for the New Bedford Boys and Girls Club gets underway tonight at 5:30 at the Century House in Acushnet.

Club Director Rob Mendes says the dinner is just another way of giving back to the young men and women working to improve their lives.

Former Patriots offensive tackle Matt Light and current Patriots guard Marcus Cannon will be autographing Nerf footballs donated by the Hasbro Foundation. Light will also present $500 scholarships to two area high school seniors.
