The "Golden Raspberry" Razzie awards set out to do the opposite work of the Academy Awards and "honor" the year's worst films, and every year, they have plenty of material to work with. While 2013 may have been one of the best years for movies in recent memory, it was also home to enough deplorable junk to make this a fairly interesting (if not at all surprising) year for Razzies.

Adam Sandler's 'Grown Ups 2' led the pack with eight nominations, including Worst Picture, Worst Actor, Worst Supporting Actor, Worst Supporting Actress, Worst Director and Worst Screenplay. It was followed up by 'Movie 43,' 'After Earth' and 'A Madea Christmas,' which scored six nods apiece (including Worst Picture). Of course, instantly-notorious flop 'The Lone Ranger' also made an appearance with five nominations, including a career-first nomination for Johnny Depp. The inclusion of a tremendously flawed but skillfully made film like that is further evidence that the Razzies are more about kicking movies when they're down rather than actually going after the truly worst films of the year, but, hey, we're not prepared to actually defend 'The Lone Ranger' here.

Outside of the major nominees, Sylvester Stallone brought his career total of Razzie nominations to 31, with three-way nod for 'Bullet to the Head,' 'Escape Plan' and 'Grudge Match.' Tyler Perry was also subject to a dog pile, with 'Temptation' racking up nominations alongside 'A Madea Christmas.' Of course, the Razzies can never resist going after the lowest of the low-hanging fruit, so Lindsay Lohan scored a nomination for 'InAPPropriate Comedy,' Kim Kardashian for 'Temptation' and Chris Brown for 'Battle of the Year.' Strangely, 'Getaway,' the actual worst film of 2013 only scored one nod: Selena Gomez for Worst Actress. Like the Oscars, the Razzies do tend to get the big picture wrong.
