Each week, we give the spotlight to one of those animals, and this week, the spotlight goes to a handsome cat that hopes to be your new cuddle buddy.

Forever Paws Animal Shelter

Meet Espeon. Espeon is two years old and currently residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River. Espeon had a home, but was sadly brought back to the shelter after health complications arose.

"Espeon had a urinary blockage," said the shelter. "This is always an emergency and can be life threatening. To prevent another blockage, Espeon will need prescription urinary food for the rest of his life and his stress levels will need to be kept as low as possible."

Espeon's forever home will need to be kid-free and have no rowdy animals. Older children, laid back cats, and mellow dogs would be a great fit for this little guy.

"Espeon is through and through a couch potato," said the shelter. "While he has spurts of playfulness, he would much rather lounge around and get cheek scratches. He's a sweet boy with a lot of love to give."
