WESTPORT (WBSM) — Westport Police arrested a man early Wednesday after he was allegedly found in possession of drugs.

According to Westport Police, Officer Sean Munzing was on patrol at about 1:38 a.m. on February 5 in the area of State Road. While on patrol, he pulled over a vehicle that passed him after observing that it did not have a front license plate.

Police said that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Walter Brewster Gomes, told Officer Munzing that he did not have his license on him, but that a subsequent query of the license status showed it as suspended.
