WESTPORT — A Westport man has been arrested for repeatedly exposing himself to a child and firing a gun inside a home.

Westport Police say 34-year-old Logan Riley was arrested this week following an investigation by Detective Jeffrey Majewski. During the course of this investigation, it was revealed these were not random acts to strangers.  Also, it was learned Riley had discharged his firearm within his residence.

While on the way to Riley’s Westport home, Detective Majewski learned Riley was visiting his ex-wife at her house in Easton.  Officers from Westport and Easton Police Departments arrested Riley at her residence.  At the scene, Riley admitted that he had a Ruger 9mm pistol inside an unlocked glove compartment, which was loaded with six rounds of ammunition in the magazine.

A query of Riley revealed he had an active License to Carry Firearms out of Rockland.

As a result of the interviews conducted earlier in the week, members of the Westport Police Department executed a search warrant at 39 Hemlock Street in Westport.  During the search, officers located two gun lockers with the keys to both lockers located on top of one of the lockers.  Officers observed and later seized 10 rifles and locked boxes of ammunition.

Riley is charged with two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Conduct, two counts of Reckless Endangerment to a Child and nine counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm.
