State Welfare Chief Stacy Monahan has provided lawmakers with an update on her 100-day plan to reform the troubled agency.

Appearing on Beacon Hill, Monahan outlined various new protocols, such as comparing welfare files with other public databases to prevent fraud. Monahan took the reins in February, promising to run a tighter ship after scathing reports revealed poor management at the Department of Transitional Assistance.
