Beth David, editor and publisher of the Fairhaven Neighborhood News, joins WBSM's Barry Richard to kick around a number of topics.

They discuss how to best teach kids about civics, something both Beth and Barry feel is sorely lacking with today's youth. As mentioned in Barry's blog on the topic, Massachusetts lawmakers are working on a bill that required all students to pass a civics course before graduating.

Beth also explains why she puts the First Amendment on the front of the Fairhaven Neighborhood News, and gives some insight into how she covers the towns of Fairhaven and Acushnet as a one-woman show.

She also shares some anecdotes about covering news in a small town.
