Have you ever wanted to have a beer with your favorite SouthCoast radio personality? Well, WBSM and Fun 107 have teamed with Canned Heat Craft Beer Co. in Fall River to launch our very own station-branded beers.

WBSM’s Open Line Ale draws on the station’s nearly 80 years of welcoming in listener phone calls to talk about everything happening in New Bedford and beyond. It’s a Kolsch-style ale offering up a dry, crisp, clean taste that is as distinctive as the voices you hear on 1420 AM and 99.5 FM every day.

Fun 107’s Hits & Hops Hazy Pale Ale is a New England-style India Pale Ale. Nobody does IPAs better than Canned Heat, and this hazy, hoppy concoction is sure to be an even bigger hit than the latest track from Olivia Rodrigo or Ariana Grande.

Release Party and Pats Home Opener at Canned Heat

Canned Heat is holding a special release party at its Fall River brewhouse on Sunday, September 20, in conjunction with the first Sunday New England football game of the season. “Try both new beers, check out the cans, watch the game and celebrate being officially in full swing for fall sports,” Canned Heat said.

Where to Buy Four-Packs and Upcoming Fest on Ferry

In addition to having the beers available at the bar at Canned Heat Craft Beer, you can also purchase a four-pack to bring home. Four-packs will also soon be available at Stevie’s Wine & Spirits in Fairhaven. A special tasting event is also on tap at Stevie’s as well, so stay tuned for an announcement on the date and time.

Then, on Saturday, October 17 at 2 p.m., come on down to Fest on Ferry. I’ll be there representing WBSM, and Fun 107’s Gazelle will be on hand DJing the event. In addition to our station beers, there will also be four amazing fall beers from Canned Heat on tap, plus more of your Canned Heat favorites, along with seven other local breweries joining the party.

Canned Heat put it best. Local radio. Local beer. Local breweries. Local people.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
