STOW — A recent fire in Wareham has been ruled accidental.

State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey and Interim Fire Chief Patrick Haskell said the cause of June 6 fire at 91 Great Neck Road is accidental.

No one was in the single-family home when the fire started at 11:25 a.m.

Investigators determined that the fire started in the dining room in an area with a microscope, a laptop computer and an electrical outlet.

There is no evidence to indicate the fire was intentionally set, but because neither the laptop nor the electrical outlet can be ruled out as possible causes, the fire will remain officially undetermined.

The fire was jointly investigated by members of the Wareham Fire and Police Departments and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
