The casino industry is spending big money to defeat Question Three in Massachusetts next month.

The Vote No on Question Three campaign stopped in Downtown New Bedford on Thursday, offering a series of speakers from New York, Detroit, and Springfield to discuss the impact of casinos in their community.

A "no" vote on Question Three will allow the continued development of three resort-style casinos in Massachusetts, along with a slots parlor, already under construction in Plainville.

The casino industry is pledging to create 6,500 construction jobs in Mass., plus 10,000 permanent jobs if the casinos are built.
