Eighty-seven competitors and five voting delegates represented Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School at the SkillsUSA state championships in Marlborough, Massachusetts from April 27-29, 2017.

The SkillsUSA state conference had over 2,200 students competing in 101 events, ranging from Architectural Drafting to Web Design in the technical areas and Action Skills to Sticker Design in leadership skills.

The school was also recognized as a Chapter of Excellence Level 2 during an award ceremony Friday evening.

Students that have earned gold medals at this level will be continuing on to represent the state at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky from June 19-24. Joining them will be the two State Officer Elects and two students, Nathan Andrade & Christian McLeod, who will be recognized for earning the Presidential Volunteer Service Award - Gold Standard.
