But now, if you are someone who wants to see an accelerated pace of the Patriots progression, if you have said that, you know, if if if only if only they had that next step kind of player, that next level kind of player, the offense would be that much better because the the offense. Again, you're talking about a team that made the Super Bowl, but the offense does need to improve. You can't be relying on a young Drake May to make all these plays for you. He needs weapons. And so, the Patriots targeted one at AJ Brown and now they got him. So, they're going to give up a fifth round pick this year and a first round pick in 2028. I'm sorry. Yeah. I mean, he's proud of the whole place and he has good reason to. It's it's just awesome in there. But he is most proud of that menu and the food that they are putting out. It is a real dining experience. It's not just quick food to eat while you're playing games. It's not just something to scarf down before you go play the video games. No, this is a a real gem of a dining experience. And where an Asian fusion menu, but he's got the pizzas, the smash burgers, all that stuff, but he's just taking everything in a different direction. So, you can check out their menu on online and and see for yourself just some of the the different things, but it's it's all the little nuances of it, too. You know, he's got the the foresight to say, "How can I tie all of this into what we're doing here at Rewind, right down to the Tetrishaped tater tots?" One 16 years old, one 19 years old, another 16-year-old boy was also involved in the crash associated with this. They crash into a fire hydrant and was injured in the crash. And that 16-year-old boy also had a warrant for his arrest related to a shooting in 2025 in Taon, which means that he was probably 15 when that happened. So, good work by the Taton Police Department to be on top of that situation. Well, according to a USA Today ranking, it's not quite the best. So, you can read that and see where it falls. I've never gone to that Fourth of July celebration, but I've watched it on TV. I because I I guess you're going to get there like super early and I'm just not if I have the day off, I'm not getting up that early. It's the same reason why I never went out and experienced Black Friday shopping once I actually had Black Friday off. It's like Do I need to? I mean, there's been some years that I've been up and said I could go out, but then I just don't bother. But we also have an article up about why it seems like tick activity is so high in Massachusetts this spring. And you've got to be careful because it is. I've noticed a lot of people have been outside for just brief periods of time and they're not walking through deep woods. You know, they're just walking down a path. You know, you could just be taking a walk down the Fair Haven bike path here. But there's so many ticks out this spring that it it doesn't take much for them to attach themselves to you. And if you are someone who does go outside frequently, make sure you are checking yourself when you come back because Lyme disease is no joke. Now, the problem is if you're not thorough, you know, you could miss it. You might say, "Okay, I took a walk. Let me check my, you know, I wore shorts. Let me just check my ankles. See if I see anything." No, no. You don't realize those things can can jump. They can get pretty high up on your body and you could have it the back of your head. So, it's always helpful, too, if you have somebody else that can that can check you. That's one bad part about living alone is uh I can't walk over to somebody and say, "Hey, does this does this look right to you? What does it what does this look like to you? I got bit by something a couple weeks ago and I didn't realize until people here were like, "Hey, what's what's wrong with your arm and then I looked and I was like, I don't know. Is that like an ingrown hair?" No, it looks like a bite. And I think it was a spider bite. I put a picture up of it on uh on social media and I said, you know, does anybody recognize what this looks like? Most people thought that it looked like a spider bite, but a couple of people said it looked like a bat bite. And like I'm pretty sure I'd remember if I got bit by a bat. Spider. It's possible I was sleeping in bed. Spider bit me. You know there there's a variety of ways you can get bit by a spider and not realize it until you start sticking to the walls and you know knowing about crimes before they happen. But I had you know none of that. I I was not shooting any web. Although, you know, depends on which Spider-Man mythology you believe in. But none of that was happening. So, I didn't think it was a spider bite at first, but that became the more likely suspect because none of the other stuff made sense. I'm pretty sure if I got bit by a bat, I would know it. And somebody was trying to convince me, "Oh, no, you can get bit by a bat and not even feel it." I'm like, "I know, but I would realize that there was a bat." If a bat landed on me and bit me, I would see that. If it happened in my sleep, that meant that the bat was stuck under my covers. I would realize that. So, I think it was a spider, which I always have a very weird reaction to spider bites anyway. I get very sluggish and tired and and I had some of those symptoms. So, I think that that was probably the case. But be careful when you're out there. You never know what little thing could jump on you and make your life hell. All right. 5089960500. [music] It's election day in California and five other [music] states. Baltimore's Key Bridge lawsuit is on pause and no new trial for Bill Cosby. [music] From the Cottage Street Motors WBSM newsroom, this is [music] WBSM News. A federal judge is delaying indefinitely the civil trial over the collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge. The case was set to begin yesterday, but both sides agreed to pause the proceedings after a series of major settlements and new legal questions about the remaining claims. Judge James Brader instead gave attorneys another month to submit arguments on whether any of those claims can move forward. The lawsuit centers on whether the ship's owner and operator can limit their financial liability for the 2024 disaster that killed six construction workers. The candidates in the Los Angeles mayor's race are making a final push as voters prepare to head to the polls today. The race has garnered national attention since reality TV star Spencer Pratt started getting some traction in the polls. The Republican though still trails. Two Democratic candidates, incumbent mayor Karen Bass and city council member Nithia Ramen. Other primaries happening in five other states as well. Today, voters head to the polls in Iowa, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, South Dakota, and California, where the race for Los Angeles mayor and governor have garnered plenty of national attention. Democrat Javier Bera held a campaign rally in Long Beach over the weekend where he touted his experience. I am not learning this job on day one. I have done this job. I'm Lisa Carton. A new chief of the US Border Patrol has been named. US Customs and Border Protection says Rosario Pete Vasquez will take over the role after Mike Banks stepped down last month. Banks had served in the role since the start of President Trump's second term last year. In a release, Vasquez called his appointment the honor of a lifetime, adding that he was grateful for the trust placed in him by the president, Homeland Security Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen, and CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott. Vasquez went on to say that his focus is on support for the agents, strengthening operational capabilities, and ensuring the US Border Patrol remains the most effective border security force in the world. A Utah judge is denying a defense request to close an upcoming hearing for Charlie Kirk's accused murderer. Yesterday, the judge in Provo ruled again in favor of the right of public and media access to court proceedings for Tyler Robinson. The 23-year-old is accused of fatally shooting Kirk in September at Utah Valley University, and prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty. An experimental drug is nearly doubling survival rates for people with advanced pancreatic cancer. This is a new medicine that blocks a really critical part of how pancreatic cancer grows. Dr. Brian Walpen of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute led the studies for the drug called Duraxin Rasib. Those studies found that patients with spreading pancreatic cancer who took the drug after allegedly going through chemotherapy lived more than 13 months compared with 6.7 months for those who received more chemo. Researchers say the drug blocks a mutation that causes cancer cells to grow out of control. The findings are published in the New England Journal of Medicine. A judge has denied Bill Cosby a new trial after a woman won nearly a $60 million verdict over the spring. Her lawsuit alleged that the actor comedian sexually abused her more than 50 years ago while she was a server at a restaurant in Salelo. Donna Mott Singer contended in her sexual battery lawsuit that Cosby drugged and raped her. On March 23rd, a jury in Santa Monica awarded her 19.25 million in compensatory damages and 40 million in punitive damages for a total of just over $59 million. I'm Tammy Trillo. President Trump now suggesting the event scheduled for next month be cancelled entirely. This after several musical artists backed out of the National Mall's Great American State Fair. If I'm driving or if I'm somewhere, if I'm out somewhere or doing something, and then I inevitably forget. What I have a a habit of doing a lot too is if you message me and I can't respond right away, or if I I'm like, "Oh, now I can't I can't get into a back and forth right now." What I'll do is I'll just leave the notification on my phone and wait to check it until I have a moment. So, you might like text me with uh oh my god, you know, uh my hair is on fire. And then the next line might be, I hope you get this quickly. And then I'm only going to see that second line. So, I'll be like, oh yeah, I'll get to it. And I'll miss the total I'll totally miss the first part that said, "Oh, yeah, my hair is on fire." Oh, sorry. Sorry. I was uh was busy. But I'm definitely guilty of, you know, having every intention of getting back to somebody and then forgetting to. And there are times that sometimes I don't respond to people at that in that moment because I know it's going to be a back and forth and I just say, "Ah, [sighs] [gasps] not right now." But that's because I'm going to be doing something that's going to distract me from it. And I don't want you to feel like I'm ignoring you, which I kind of am. But that's what's made the whole cell phone culture interesting is before when you called somebody, you know, they usually answered the phone. Then we got into the answering machine era and the voicemail era where people didn't feel the need to answer the phone anymore. They would screen their calls. And now we have basically the perfect equivalent of screening calls because we know exactly who it is most of the time. We don't even need to play the message. And depending on what phone and what service you have, the message might even just appear as a as a print out on your screen. You don't even have to listen to it. So, we definitely have the most technology we've ever had to help us ignore the people that we want to ignore. And I've tried everything to, you know, make sure certain people can get through. Even if it's even if it's a a time that I'm busy, like I still, you know, I want to make sure like if my parents call, it's an emergency. I want them to be able to get through and it just never works out. Sorry, I missed it. Sorry. My dad actually called me with something pretty important. recently and uh it was when I was on the vineyard and he's like, "Are you busy?" I was like, "Well, I'm at a bar [laughter] on Martha's Vineyard. What's up?" And proceeded to have that conversation with him while I was sitting at the bar. Nobody could hear me anyway because they were all so loud. But that was one of those situations where normally I might be like, "Oh, I'll call them back when I'm out when I leave here." But I'm glad that I did because it was kind of an emergency. So, are you like that?
