FALL RIVER — The homicide victim from Friday night's shooting outside JC's Cafe in Fall River has been identified as Eric Voshell, 39, of Oak Buffs, according to a release from the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.

Fall River Police, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office and Homicide Unit prosecutors are actively investigating the homicide, which occurred Friday night.

At around 10:15 p.m. Friday, police responded to JC's Cafe, which is located at 1050 Bedford Street, for a report of a shooting with multiple victims. When police arrived, they located Voshell and rushed him to Charlton Memorial Hospital. Voshell was later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died this morning.

Two other apparent gunshot victims, a 37-year-old Fall River man and a 23-year-old Bridgewater man, were also transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both are currently in stable condition.

The District Attorney’s Office says the investigation into the shooting homicide is extremely active and no further information can be released at this time.​
