Two Women Arrested for Prostitution in New Bedford’s North End

NEW BEDFORD - Two women are arrested after neighbor complaints of street-level prostitution in New Bedford's North End.

Police arrested  Christie Jardin, 42, of 247 Ashley Boulevard, Apt. 3, New Bedford just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near Ashley Boulevard and Bullard Street, while Jessica Metcalf, a 36-year-old homeless woman, was arrested at 11pm in the area of Acushnet Avenue and Nye Street.

Both women were charged with sexual conduct for a fee.
