Two Break-In Suspects Arrested in North End

New Bedford Police arrested two people early Friday and charged them attempting to break into parked vehicles in the North End.

According to a police spokesman, officers responded to a report of two individuals attempting to gain access into vehicles in the area of Bellville Ave. and Hadley Street.

Police located the suspects on Hadley Street around 1:30 am. They were later identified as the individuals seen trying to break into cars.

Fifty-two-year-old Amy Bassett and 44-year-old Norman Cormier, both of New Bedford, were charged with breaking and entering and possessing burglary tools
