Two Boston Street Gang Members Arrested in Fall River
Members of the Southeastern Mass. Gang Task Force this week arrested two members of Boston street gangs in Fall River.
Members of the Gang Task Force received information that two men wanted on numerous drug and firearms warrants would be in Fall River Wednesday night in a 2011 Mercedes.
Task Force members spotted the vehicle in the parking lot of a North Main Street gas station just after 8 p.m.
Officers moved in and arrested 27-year-old Tyre Wade of Fall River and James Mendes, also 27, of Randolph.
Mendes was apprehended without incident. Wade was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Police say he was in possession of 15 baggies of crack cocaine and one baggie of heroin.
