Mike Cabral of the Greater New Beford Track Club says he had no doubts about competing in this year's Boston Marathon.

Cabral was less than a mile away from the finish line in 2013 when the bombs went off on Boylston Street. Authorities stopped the runners and Cabral did not finish.

He says it was important for him to run the entire 26 miles this time around....

Cabral said he was proud to help "take back the finish line."

The Greater New Bedford Track Club had more than 20 runners participating in the Marathon. The first club member to finish was Dan Livingston. His time was 3:07.
