Townsquare Sunday: ‘Stand Up for Women’

"Stand Up For Women" is the title of an event being held at the Seaport Inn on Feb. 10 to raise money to continue the important work of the Women's Fund of Southeastern Mass.

It is a comedy night featuring some top regional and national female comedians. Executive Director Valerie Bassett is joining WBSM's Jim Phillips on Townsquare Sunday to discuss the event, and the efforts being made by the Women's Fund to empower women and carry out the organizations' Economic Blueprint for Women. Its main goal, according to its website, is to increase the number of women in Southeastern Mass. who earn a living wage.
