For many years, the Dartmouth High School Marching Band has won numerous awards, finishing at the top or near the top in most local, state and national competitions they take part in. Most observers credit that success to hard-working students, a dedicated Band Director and staff, and an active and committed parents group carrying out a variety of tasks, whether its loading the equipment truck or sewing uniforms. Greg Jones is one of those parents. He's a member of the Dartmouth School Music Association. Greg tells WBSM's Jim Phillips, his daughter was introduced to the band in 8th grade and that early introduction helped make her move to the High School that much easier. Greg says the Association supports all music programs in Dartmouth schools, and is always on the lookout for new members!
