Three Men Arrested After Car Chase

Three Fall River men were arrested after authorities say there were pursued by police from three towns.

Swansea police Sgt. Mark Foley says officers went to the Swansea Mall Sunday morning after getting a report that three men suspected in other area robberies had been sighted.

An officer says he he witnessed one of the suspects flee from the Walmart with a television.

The suspects allegedly drove off when the officer tried to stop their car.

Somerset Police, Fall River Police, and State Police eventually joined in the pursuit which went down Route 6 and I-195 before the suspects were arrested in Fall River.

The three men, identified as Reginald Travassos III, Aaron Gagnon, and Jose Furtado face charges including shoplifting and resisting arrest.
