Thousands of Military Families to Get Bucket Donation for Winter

Ocean State Job Lot and Home Depot combined forces to benefit military families at a recent event.

Hundreds of volunteers filled more than 2,500 Home Depot buckets with items donated by the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation during a massive distribution event held on Friday,  November 15 in Fall River. Through its partnership with the Massachusetts Military Support Foundation, the items, which range from warm winter jackets, hats, gloves, scarfs, essential health and beauty items, and food, will be distributed throughout Massachusetts to military families this holiday season. Thousands of families will be served through this creative partnership.

The buckets were loaded on box trucks and moved across the state through the Massachusetts Military Support Foundation’s network, including local police and EMS, and other organizations.

I cannot imagine getting through a New England winter without these items. What a great cause for these two great companies to show support for. They showed the power of coordination to help others, and that is fantastic.
