The USA Advances To Second Round of World Baseball Classic

While most of us are waiting for the start to the MLB season, some of baseball's best are representing their countries in the World Baseball Classic.

A big win over over Canada propelled the United States into the second round of the WBC. The ISA beat the Canadians 9-4 on Sunday in Arizona. The US trailed 3-2 until the seventh inning, and was on the brink of elimination.  After going 2-1 in group play, the United States advances, along with Italy in Group D.

The USA had a couple key wins over the weekend. 9-4 over Canada on Sunday, and 6-2 over Italy on Saturday. Mexico and Canada were eliminated from the tournament after their weekend loses.
