Around Town With Phil: True Story of a Holocaust Hero
The public is encouraged to hear about the intriguing case of Raoul Wallenberg, a Holocaust hero, presented by Attorney Morris Wolff, author of Whatever Happened to Raoul Wallenberg? The free program is this evening, Tuesday, August 7 at 6:30 pm at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, located at 7 Barstow Street.
This is the riveting case of the true story of the heroic Swedish diplomat, Raoul Wallenberg, who worked in Budapest, Hungary, during World War II to save the lives of over 100,000 Jews from Nazi extermination.
World recognized humanitarian Morris Wolff has written about what happened after the Swedish heroic diplomat was kidnapped by the Russians. This never-before-told story reveals Wallenberg's detention and the pro bono legal efforts of the author and others to gain his release from the Soviet Union.
The story is unbelievably compelling and for his life long service to others, Wolff engineers a legal rescue and more of the mysteriously-disappeared hero. Two Profiles in Courage.
Books will be available for purchase and signing at the lecture. Please attend and learn about whatever did happen to Raoul Wallenberg.
