Thank You Denis Lawrence For Your Service — A Note from Phil

City Councilor, Denis Lawrence, Jr. has decided not to run for another two-year term, after fulfilling a 16-year stretch of answering constituents' calls, attending meetings and special events and spending more time with city related issues than with his own family.

These are very difficult times to serve the public, for many reasons. However, Denis Lawrence was always approachable, down-to-earth and friendly to everyone. His raspy voice and pragmatic wisdom will be missed as some new council members will be added and others perhaps subtracted from the roster.

One thing is for sure, Mr. Lawrence accomplished much for the betterment of our community and he deserves a gold star next to the phrase mission accomplished and job well done.
