TAUNTON (WBSM) – Two teens on a scooter were among three people sent to the hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Taunton this afternoon.

According to Police Chief Edward Walsh, the department received a report at about 1 p.m. today of a three-vehicle crash in the area of Cohannet Street and Silver Street that involved a scooter and two cars and resulted in injuries.

The scooter involved was a 2025 Zhongzing ZXGS-50E. The driver of the scooter, a 16-year-old boy from Taunton, was transported via MedFlight to a local trauma center. His passenger, a 15-year-old Taunton boy, was taken to Morton Hospital.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a 2018 Toyota RAV4, was an 81-year-old Taunton woman, who was not taken to a hospital, Walsh said.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 51-year-old Taunton woman, was transported to Morton Hospital.

None of their identities were released.

Ongoing Police Investigation

Walsh said the crash is under investigation by Taunton Police with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
