A Taunton man is headed to state prison after pleading guilty to a series of crimes in Raynham, Taunton, and Dighton.

Thirty-one-year-old Charles Richardi pleaded guilty last week in Fall River Superior Court to a nine-count indictment, including multiple charges of receiving stolen property, credit card fraud and breaking and entering.

Among the items stolen were jewelry, credit cards, electronics, coins, and valuable baseball cards. Police say the crimes happened in May of last year.

The District Attorney's Office says Richardi was arrested in June on an unrelated charge. He was charged with the break-ins and other crimes after being positively identified in a photo array by one of the victims.

District Attorney Thomas Quinn stated that Richardi is a career criminal with a long history of stealing and breaking into other people's homes. He added, the only alternative is to protect the public from this long-time thief.
