Old Rochester Regional's great football season came to an end last night as the Bull Dogs lost to Abington 47 to 20. That was the first loss of the season for ORR. Abington advances to next weekend's semi finals. ORR is 9-1, they wrap up their season on Thanksgiving against 8-2 Apponequet...

The regular season is over, and at least three teams have qualified for the MIAA football playoffs with two more waiting to find out. Old Rochester and Apponequet have both made it, as well as GNB Voc-Tech. New Bedford and Dartmouth await the verdict based on the state power rankings at Sunday’s MIAA meeting...

Wareham finally got in the win column, scoring three fourth-quarter touchdowns as they defeated Case Friday night, 22-12. The Vikings (1-3) racked up 231 rushing yards in the game, including 79 in the fourth quarter.

GNB Voc-Tech’s “Middle School Night” was a rousing success, not only because of the large number of potential students who came to check out the campus, but also because the Bears provided their potential future schoolmates with a thrilling 34-8 win over Fairhaven at the Bears’ Den.
