Patriots Nation is still buzzing after a big Divisional Round win, but one local teen is winning at life after becoming the unexpected face of a true New Englander on national TV.

Snow was falling at Gillette Stadium. The temperature hovered around 33 degrees in Foxboro, with a “feels like” closer to 28. There he was: a young Patriots fan, shirt off, clapping, fired up, fully locked into the moment with 11:46 left in the fourth quarter and the Pats up 28-16 over the Houston Texans.

Within minutes, the photo was everywhere.

When a Moment Goes Viral

Barstool Sports shared it. "El Presidente" Dave Portnoy himself posted it with the caption, “Give this kid an internship #NEPats.” National broadcasters joked about it and social media lit up – and not all of it was kind.

Some people questioned the parenting. Others assumed he must have been unsupervised or sitting with “a drunk uncle.”

None of that was true.

The Kid Everyone’s Talking About Is 14-Year-Old Landon From Swansea

The shirtless fan is 14-year-old Landon of Swansea, MA. He's a lifelong Patriots fan, and proud younger brother. He was sitting next to his 16-year-old brother Austin, soaking in a playoff game most kids only dream about attending.

And yes, their parents were there, just 15 rows back.

Landon’s dad, Jordan Silva, laughed when he realized what was happening.

"We (he and his wife) looked down and said, ‘What the heck? He has his shirt off,’” Silva said. “The rest is history.”

That’s it. No drama, no neglect, just two brothers at a Patriots playoff game, caught up in the energy of the moment.

This Wasn’t Bad Parenting, It Was Trust

Here’s the part that got lost online: Silva and his wife didn’t disappear or abandon their kids. They simply made a decision a lot of parents can relate to. They let the boys sit closer to the field together and experience the game as brothers.

Anyone who grew up going to live sporting events knows this feeling: the rush, the adrenaline, the hope that maybe, just maybe, the camera will find you.

For Landon, it did.

Now, he’s part of Patriots playoff history. Troy Aikman and Joe Buck talked about him on national television. Barstool shared him. His school will never let him forget it. Ever.

That’s not a parenting fail. That’s a core memory.

A Moment He’ll Be Talking About Forever

Also, let’s be honest, teenagers are built differently.

If they could live in shorts year-round, they would (and so would I). Landon wasn’t miserable or forced to take his shirt off. He was hyped and proud of his team. He was being a kid from Swansea at a Patriots playoff game, riding the moment exactly the way sports are meant to be experienced.

When the snow settled and the Patriots sealed a trip to the AFC Championship Game, Landon didn’t just leave with a victory.

He left with a story he’ll tell for the rest of his life. Sometimes the internet gets it wrong and this time, it missed a really good story.

Honestly? Attaboy, Landon.
